Subscriptions
My current subscriptions to things I actually pay for in no particular order.
New York Times
I try to read the main articles closely, top to bottom. The most interesting aspect of the Times is the message they are attempting to convey, that in itself is the story.
The New Criterion
It's a bit too fancy and political but there's an occasional article that makes me think.
Sam Hyde
Sam is kind of a post-modern comedian. I don't really know how to categorize him, he's got Andy Kaufman aura. His website is all over the place, he's both a talented content creator and designer / artist. Pretty controversial to millennial types.
Red Scare
Just two close friends shooting the shit. I wish there were more podcasts like this.
Caribbean Rhythms (BAP)
Odd character with fringe guests. That in itself makes him interesting to follow. The accent was difficult at first and probably intentionally turns people away but it gets easier over time.
Darryl Cooper
Epic deep dives, similar to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History. Start with Fear and Lothing in New Jerusalem.
YouTube Premium
Mostly for no ads and background audio, worth it.
Waking Up
For the occasional Alan Watts recordings, I'm sure there's a free way to get these...
Watch Duty
Essential, but stressful.
